The CNPD participated in the 74th meeting of the Berlin Group

On November 18 and 19, 2024, the CNPD participated in the 74th meeting of the International Working Group on Data Protection in Technology ("Berlin Group").

Since its establishment in 1983 in Berlin, Germany, the Group has been observing trends and developments in the technology sector, such as "big data", the "Internet of Things", or artificial intelligence. To this end, the group develops recommendations and guidelines for using these technologies in a manner that complies with data protection requirements.

This two-day meeting was an opportunity for the members of the Berlin Group to share their views, experiences, and challenges on the evolution of technologies and their potentially significant impact on individuals, such as neurotechnologies and extended reality.
