Lincoln Woods Barracks

On Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:18 PM, Troopers arrested Joel Martinez, age 31, of 1258 Plainfield Street, Apartment #1, Johnston, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs BAC Unknown - First Offense, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test - First Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Public Street, in the City of Providence. Martinez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released into the custody of a responsible adult pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.

On Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:31 PM, Troopers arrested Felix J. Cortez, age 26, of 26 Mount Avenue, Lincoln, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice on the charge of Violation of a Court Order originating out of the Attleboro, Massachusetts, Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Westminster Street, in the City of Providence. Cortez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 1:49 AM, Troopers arrested Juan Melgar, age 42, of 29 Boston Post Road, Apartment #2, Willimantic, Connecticut, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Aggravated Assault originating out of the Central Falls Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Harrison Street, in the City of Pawtucket. Melgar was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and then turned over to the Central Falls Police Department.

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 2:53 AM, Troopers arrested Anthony R. Dejesus, age 23, of 76 Lakeshore Drive, Bellingham, Massachusetts, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs with a BAC .10 to .15 (Phase I BAC = .129, Phase II BAC = .128), and 2.) Destruction of Public Property. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a disabled motor vehicle on Route 6, in the City of Providence. Dejesus was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released into the custody of a responsible adult pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 3:29 AM, Troopers arrested Willian Aponte Azuaje, age 34, of 6 Goddard Street, Apartment #3, Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Felony Assault originating out of the Providence Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Smith Street, in the City of Providence. Aponte Azuaje was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and then turned over to the Providence Police Department.
