HARRISBURG -State Sen. Gene Yaw (R-23) and State Rep. Jamie Flick (R-83) today announced $3,500,000 has been awarded to three projects in Lycoming County through the state's Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).
"Today's awards will have a tremendous impact in our region by expanding local business, upgrading community care facilities and supporting much needed improvements in South Williamsport," Yaw said. "I was pleased to work with Rep. Flick to help secure this funding."
"I'm thrilled to see this grant funding returned to our area," said Flick. "It will be put to great use as we enhance our local businesses, senior residential centers and municipal infrastructure, creating vital improvements for our community. This investment will strengthen our area and benefit everyone for years to come."
The following entities in Lycoming County received funding:
RACP is administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects. RACP projects are authorized in the Redevelopment Assistance section of a Capital Budget Itemization Act. They must have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact and generate substantial increases or maintain current levels of employment, tax revenues, or other measures of economic activity.
