Legend. Icon. World renowned, record-setting performer. Actor. The Midnight Idol. Mr. Entertainment. USO Ambassador and passionate supporter of veterans and active-duty service members.

No other name or person is so defining, representative or synonymous with Las Vegas and the entertainment capital of the world than Mr. Las Vegas himself - Wayne Newton.

Lindenwood University and the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts invite patrons to Wayne Newton: Up Close and Personal, a performance unlike any show Wayne Newton has done before.

Newton's trip to Lindenwood marks the second show in the 2024-25 touring series, bringing world-class performers to St. Charles. Students, employees, and the community are invited to an afternoon of songs and stories from one of the most celebrated entertainers of all time.

"Wayne Newton's musical talent stands the test of time, and we're honored to welcome him to the J. Scheidegger Center," Vice President of Advancement and Community Engagement Orrie Covert said. "This show is certain to be a crowd-pleaser and offers an entertaining blend of storytelling and hit songs. We look forward to welcoming first-time and returning patrons to this special event."

Newton's visit to Lindenwood supports the University's work in transforming the campus and the City of St. Charles into a destination for cultural, civic, and athletic events. Tickets for Wayne Newton: Up Close and Personal remain available through the LU Box Office and offer the opportunity to see a living legend.
