Telephone conversation with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic

The two leaders exchanged greetings on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade from the Nazi invaders. On this day in 1944, the Soviet Army completed the Belgrade offensive operation involving units of the People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia. This was one of the key events of the final stage of World War II in the Balkans.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current state of the bilateral ties, which are based on spiritual, cultural and historical affinity, and the unanimity in assessments of the past and the present. They reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation across the board.
