NCCU Homecoming 2024: Tye Tribbett, Hezekiah Walker, JT and Angie Stone Headline Concert Lineup

The Ultimate Homecoming Experience at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) will take over Durham from Saturday, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. This year's line-up includes performances from some of the biggest names in music.

Kicking things off on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 5 p.m., it's the *Ultimate Gospel Experiencefeaturing Grammy-winning artists Tye Tribbett and Hezekiah Walker. This uplifting concert will be held in the McDougald-McLendon Arena on campus.

Then, on Thursday, Oct. 24, it's a Florida takeover at the *Ultimate Hip-Hop Concert. Miami rap star JT will headline, along with performances from Luh Tyler and Lil Poppa. The show starts at 7 p.m. in McDougald-McLendon Arena.

For alumni, the soulful Angie Stone will serenade attendees at the *Alumni Concert on Friday, Oct. 25. Raleigh's own NiiTO Band will also take the stage. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel, 4700 Emperor Blvd., in Durham.

The Ultimate Homecoming Experience doesn't stop with music. Here's a rundown of the week's signature events:

Saturday, Oct. 19:

• The Ultimate Countdown, 10:30 p.m. to midnight, James E. Shepard Library Bowl.

Monday, Oct. 21:

• Miss and Mister NCCU Royal Coronation, 6-8 p.m, NCCU Student Center Event Hall.

Tuesday, Oct. 22

• The Ultimate 10:40 Break, 10:40 a.m. - 12 p.m., James E. Shepard Library Bowl.
• The Ultimate Talent Show, 6 - 8 p.m., McDougald-McLendon Arena.

Wednesday, Oct. 23

• The Ultimate Chicken Wednesday, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., W.G. Pearson Dining Hall.

Thursday, Oct. 24

• The Ultimate Throw Back Thursday: Old School Greek Stroll Off, 10:40 a.m. - 12 p.m., James E. Shepard Library Bowl.

Friday, Oct. 25

• 77th Founder's Day and Class of 1974 Induction into the Society of Golden Eagles, 9 - 11 a.m., McDougald-McLendon Arena.
• Wreath-Laying Ceremony, 11 a.m., James E. Shepard Administration Circle.
• *Ultimate Face-Off Step Show, 7 - 10 p.m., McDougald-McLendon Arena.

Saturday, Oct. 26

• Ultimate Homecoming Parade, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Fayetteville Street, beginning at Cornwallis Road.
• *NCCU Football vs. Morgan State University, 3:30 p.m., O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium.
• Ultimate Student/Alumni Social, 5 - 9 p.m., James E. Shepard Library Bowl.

NCCU's clear bag policy will be enforced at events at McDougald-McLendon Arena and O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium.
