Skydio and Axon Fusus bring live drone footage into a unified platform to transform decision-making and build common operating pictures for Drone as First Responder (DFR) Operations.
Rapid, accurate information can mean the difference between life and death. Communication is critical, and first responders often face the challenge of assessing dynamic situations and making tactical decisions with limited or delayed information. Skydio has partnered with Axon Fusus, a Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) platform, to better serve public safety agencies and create a unified public safety ecosystem for connected communities. Axon Fusus unifies public safety video and data streams in a single pane of glass. Integrated with Skydio, Axon Fusus allows drones to be ready for rapid deployment by integrating call alerts, improves response times with shared waypoints for immediate deployment, and helps resolve incidents by seamlessly connecting with Axon's ecosystem, ensuring all data is captured and shared across body cameras, patrol units, and evidence systems. This complete Drone as First Responder (DFR) solution enhances situational awareness, enabling quicker responses, more informed decision-making, and, ultimately, safer communities.
Traditionally, drone technology has existed in a silo, with video feeds recorded and viewed separately from other critical data, like license plate readers, fixed cameras, dash cameras, and body-worn cameras, which creates a gap in vital real-time collaboration and decision-making. Skydio has changed this paradigm by delivering live video feeds directly into RTCCs via Axon Fusus.
When a caller dials 911, the ability to quickly deploy a drone to the scene is critical. Skydio X10, known for its advanced autonomy and AI-driven obstacle avoidance, can be dispatched almost instantly to provide live video feeds of an incident to those who need them the most. The drone live streams directly into the Fusus platform - a single pane of glass that unifies disparate public safety video and data streams - enabling officers in the field, command centers, and even other responding agencies to have eyes on scene from anywhere they are.
Axon Fusus aggregates an agency's various information feeds, including Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR), which can trigger an alert (bottom left) that automatically transfers to Skydio DFR Command. With one click, a drone is deployed autonomously to the location of the alert.
Integrating DFR Command with the Fusus platform allows agencies to collaborate across multiple stakeholders, enabling faster, data-driven responses during critical incidents. This integration also optimizes resource allocation and expands safety coverage to include aerial perspectives, making it easier for agencies to protect communities with immediate intelligence and enabling faster and safer outcomes in critical situations.
This partnership is just the beginning. Skydio is committed to providing seamless workflows and integrations with these and more critical tools that public safety agencies use daily. Countless software and hardware solutions can be plugged into the Axon Fusus platform, streamlining the data flow into Skydio drone response. Together, Skydio and Axon Fusus offer a comprehensive solution that enhances response capabilities and scales DFR programs, making them more effective and adaptable for public safety agencies.
