Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water, Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Kootznoowoo, Incorporated
PROJECT NAME: ADL 109238
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:
The parcel is located in Stillwater Anchorage, a navigable waterbody within Kootznahoo Inlet, approximately 0.5 miles northeast of Angoon, Alaska.
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:
CRM050S068E30 Metes and bounds description within Section 30, Township 50 South, Range 68 East, Copper River Meridian, containing approximately 1.6 acres, more or less.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY:
The State of Alaska has signed a Final Finding and Decision dated November 7th, 2024, regarding a lease application submitted by Kootznoowoo, Inc., for use of approximately 1.6 acres of state-owned tidelands and submerged lands for a barge landing in Stillwater Anchorage.
REQUESTED TERM: 25 years
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: December 9th, 2024
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be emailed to the adjudicator below or received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at Southeast Regional Land Office, PO Box 111020, Juneau, Alaska 99811 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. Questions concerning this activity or requests to view the full application packet should be directed to Quinn McClurg, Telephone: (907)-465-3432, or e-mail: [email protected]
After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process. The Alaska Department of Natural Resources complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
