Castillo de San Marcos & Fort Matanzas National Monuments to Reopen on Saturday, October 12, 2024, following Hurricane Milton

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument will REOPEN to the public on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Staff spent Friday conducting safety assessments, cleaning up storm debris, and ensuring the fort is ready to welcome back visitors. The Castillo will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Fort Matanzas National Monument will REOPEN, with restrictions, on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Due to damage caused by Hurricane Milton, ferry operations to the historic fort will be cancelled until further notice. The Fort Matanzas Visitor Center will be open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
