The 34th International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent is being held in Geneva from October 28 to 31, with the theme "Navigate Uncertainty - Strengthen Humanity." The Mongolian Government delegation, alongside the representatives from the Mongolian Red Cross Society, is participating in the conference and delivered a speech emphasizing Mongolia's steadfast commitment to International Humanitarian Law. They also highlighted the country's ongoing efforts to promote humanitarian principles across the nation and stressed the critical importance of humanitarian aid in the context of the climate crisis.

The delegation held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Jacques de Maio, Regional Director for Asia and Pacific, to discuss the possibility of incorporating Mongolian natural and ecological products into the humanitarian aid packages provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). They also discussed Mongolia's intention to establish an ICRC warehouse in Northeast Asia, with Mongolia as the base. During the meeting, Mr. Jacques de Maio emphasized Mongolia's significant contributions to humanitarian efforts and expressed his eagerness to strengthen cooperation further.

In the days ahead, delegations from the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, together with nations that are party to the Geneva Conventions, will adopt resolutions concerning significant humanitarian issues. The resolution will focus on preparing for and adapting to climate change and disaster law, as well as promoting local leadership and strengthening humanitarian capacities and resilience.
