A Game That Transcends Sports

This past Saturday was the Army-Navy football game. Dating back to 1890 as one of the oldest and most historic rivalries in college football, this game transcends the sports world.

From the military flyover to the parades to the Game Ball Run to the national anthem to the coin toss featuring the Secretary of Defense, these military traditions remind us to take a moment to pause and honor the men and women who selflessly serve in our United States military, both past and present.

In a time of so much political division, this game also serves as a rare moment of unity. Americans from every political party, race, religion, and background come together to watch this game, sharing their love and pride for our country.
