On November 12, 2024 at approximately 1:15 p.m., Pierceland RCMP received a report of an adult female who had been forcibly confined at a residence on Big Island Lake Cree Territory.
Officers responded and determined an adult male forcibly confined and assaulted an adult female, who was known to him, at the residence. The adult female was able to escape and get assistance. She reported non-life-threatening injuries to police.
As a result of continued investigation, on November 12 at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Big Island Lake Cree Territory where they located and seized a firearm, a machete, and a baton.
Following further investigation, 42-year-old Lorne Singer from Big Island Lake Cree Territory is charged with:
A warrant has been issued for Lorne Singer's arrest (Information #90551088). Pierceland RCMP continue to work to locate and arrest Lorne Singer and ask members of the public to report all sightings and information about his whereabouts.
Lorne Singer is described as approximately 6'0" tall and 150 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair. A photo of him is attached.
Pierceland RCMP continue to investigate.
