Bourns Family Youth Innovation Center Celebrating Anniversary With Events
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The Bourns Family Youth Innovation Center invites the community to join in a third anniversary celebration of innovation, creativity and fun the week of Sept. 23.
The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is offering a series of exciting activities, classes, and giveaways that highlight the power of innovation and the joy of learning all in a birthday week theme.
Event Dates: Monday, Sept. 23 - Friday, Sept. 27
Event Time: 4-7 p.m.
Event Location: Bourns Family Youth Innovation Center, 9595 Miller St.
Event Highlights:
- Monday, Sept. 23, 4-7 p.m.: Kick off the week with an Aquaponics Class, where participants can learn about sustainable farming practices. Giveaway: 3D Printed Planters with Seed Kits.
- Tuesday, Sept. 24, 4-7 p.m.: Dive into technology with a Robotics Class followed by a fun Slime Making session. Giveaway: Robotics Kits.
- Wednesday, Sept. 25, 4-7 p.m.: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Celebrate mid-week with a 3D Printing Class and an engaging Scavenger Hunt. Special guest Reckie will make an appearance! Giveaway: Birthday Goodies.
- Thursday, Sept. 26, 4-7 p.m.: Unleash your creativity in our Photography Class and design your own photo frame. Giveaway: STEM Kits.
- Friday, Sept. 27, 4-7 p.m.: Blast off into space with our Space Club and take part in an exciting Space Shuttle Activity. Giveaway: Space Kits.
Throughout the week, attendees also can participate in daily raffles, engage in hands-on demonstrations, and explore a variety of classes designed to spark curiosity and foster innovation in the youth of Riverside. Class discounts will be available during the week of festivities.
