City and County Officials: Contributing to Flood Relief Northeast Tennessee

Press Release from Emergency Operations Center

The public has offered an outpouring of support for those impacted by the devastating flooding related to Hurricane Helene in Northeast Tennessee.

Knoxville-Knox County Emergency Management Agency (KEMA), along with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), and the impacted counties recommend the following ways to support the needs of the community.

Monetary Donations

A fund with the East Tennessee Foundation has been established to accept monetary donations for the impacted counties. This is the most effective and preferred way to give to the effort.

Supplies Donation

Below is the most up-to-date list of donation centers.

Elizabethton Parks and Rec

Cocke County - Water Donations
Knox County Engineering and Public Works

Unicoi County
Evergreen Free Will Baptist

910 Hoback Street, Erwin, TN
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Washington County
Crossroads Baptist Church

1300 Suncrest Drive, Johnson City, TN
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In addition to the established donation centers, the following organizations are accepting supplies and monetary donations. Check their websites and social media pages for more details:

Volunteering

While local communities appreciate the volunteer spirit during disasters and emergencies, it is important to refrain from sending resources that have not been requested by state or local authorities.
