Storm Alert - October 15, 2024 - Post Hurricane Milton

Fuel supply in Florida is steadily improving each day following Hurricane Milton. While pipeline delays between Tampa and Orlando are still causing supply issues, overall conditions are getting better. Power has been restored to nearly 90% of the 3.4 million homes and businesses that lost electricity after the hurricane, though some hard-hit areas remain without power, with many homes and businesses still severely damaged and flooded.

Gasoline availability has drastically improved, with half of Tampa Bay's gas stations now having fuel, compared to just a quarter last Friday. Additionally, the state has opened fuel giveaway sites to replenish stations that ran out of gas before the storm.

In Tampa, some terminals remain offline due to ongoing power outages and damage restoration efforts. However, a handful of terminals are operational and selling unbranded products. The fuel supply in Tampa is in a decent position, but diesel availability remains tight in Orlando. Mansfield is optimistic that diesel inventory will be available in Orlando by the end of the week, although there are no confirmed ETAs from the pipeline.

As supply conditions continue to stabilize, Mansfield is keeping Florida in Code Orange (72-hour notice for deliveries). Please continue to stay in close communication with your Mansfield representative for any specific delivery requests or concerns. We are working to ensure fuel availability improves for all customers in the affected areas and will keep you informed of any new developments.
