The VI Meeting of Foreign Policy Consultations with Denmark was held today at the San Martín Palace, chaired by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eduardo Bustamante, and the Secretary of State for Foreign Policy of Denmark, Lisbet Zilmer-Johns.
During the meeting, both delegations carried out an exhaustive review of the bilateral agenda, including the traditional ties of friendship and the important Danish community in Argentina, the latest visits of high authorities, the progress of cooperation on defense matters, bilateral trade and the negotiation of a new Air Services Agreement. Denmark expressed its interest in deepening its relationship with Latin America and Argentina offered its support and collaboration to that end.
Both delegations also referred to the exchange of supports on candidacies in international organizations, the progress in the process of Argentina's accession to the OECD and the interest of our country in being part of NATO's Global Partners Program. The Argentine delegation conveyed its gratitude to Denmark for its support to achieve this objective, regarding its policy of alignment with Western values.
To conclude, situations of mutual interest at regional and global level were discussed, such as support to Ukraine, the conflict in the Middle East and the current situation in Venezuela.
