On Thursday, November 14, 2024, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman participated in the opening of the 10th Meeting G2 Conference, titled "A Decade of Business Connections." The conference, organized by the Meeting G2 association, brings together businesspeople from Croatia and entrepreneurs of Croatian descent from around the world, aiming to foster their networking and collaboration.
Speaking at the conference, Grlić Radman highlighted that Meeting G2 has proven to be a crucial bridge connecting the Croatian diaspora with the homeland, promoting investments, knowledge exchange, and the preservation of cultural heritage. The minister discussed the measures undertaken by the Croatian Government to strengthen ties with the diaspora as part of the implementation of the Demographic Revitalization Strategy through 2033 and the National Development Strategy through 2030. He particularly emphasized labour market reforms, which, he noted, facilitate the return of emigrants and open doors to new business opportunities.
Grlić Radman also highlighted the role of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, which, through its diplomatic network, continuously works on connecting Croatia with its diaspora. He underscored the importance of the Croatian diaspora as a vital bridge in strengthening the country's economic and cultural ties with other nations.
The two-day conference held in Zagreb marks a decade of dedicated efforts in connecting and networking businesspeople from Croatia with entrepreneurs of Croatian origin worldwide, with the goal of fostering and strengthening long-term diaspora investments in the homeland.
