A military ceremony, led by Lieutenant-Colonel Maxime Yvrard, took place at La Condamine Fire Station on Monday 25 November. The event, attended by the Minister of the Interior Lionel Beffre, Director General of the Minister of the Interior Christophe Prat and Supreme Commander of the Military Force Colonel Tony Varo, was held to mark the transfer of command at La Condamine Emergency Response Centre from Major Jean-Christophe Masotti to his deputy, Adjutant Laurent Audibert.
Adjutant Laurent Audibert joined the Monaco Fire and Emergency Service in 2001 and moved through the ranks at the Fontvieille Emergency Response Centre for 21 years. During this period, he acquired all the skills necessary for his duties, in roles that included hazardous operations, water rescues and excavation. He also became the Service's technological risk representative, a vital role for a Commander of rescue operations when faced with a nuclear, radiological, biological, chemical or environmental problem. He was assigned to the Condamine Emergency Response Centre in December 2022 to act as Deputy to the Commander of the Centre.
