Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain stated that the educational system should be based on a multifaceted approach focusing on character building, technical advancement, spiritual and moral values, and the enhancement of abilities. The purpose of education is not merely material success, but to contribute to the welfare of society through spiritual growth and the development of skills. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, while discussing the negative impact of social media and other modern communication methods on society, particularly the moral fiber of the younger generation, emphasized that it is the responsibility of scholars, education experts, and all of us to address this situation and contribute to the moral betterment of youth. He urged teachers not only to impart knowledge but also to pay attention to character building so that students can become true ambassadors of Pakistan. These remarks were made by Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain during the inauguration of the new international campus of Pakistan School in the Al-Seeb area of Muscat. He further mentioned that students from various backgrounds are receiving education in Pakistan Schools, which promote values of tolerance, understanding, and unity. The Pakistan school system takes pride in educating students from 27 nationalities, reflecting the trust that the residents of Oman have in Pakistan Schools. Due to the increasing number of students in Pakistan Schools, the Omani government has allocated two acres of land for the new Pakistan International School, which will be completed in eighteen months. Chaudhry Salik Hussain appreciated the efforts of the embassy and the school board for the improvement of Pakistan Schools in Oman. The event was attended by the Pakistani Ambassador to Oman, Chaudhry Imran Ali, Dr. Khadijah Al-Salmi, Director General of Private Schools at the Ministry of Education Oman, and members of the Pakistani and Omani communities. Currently, the Pakistan school system has seven campuses in Oman, catering to over 8,500 students in morning and evening sessions. This new state-of-the-art campus will provide education to 3,000 students from kindergarten to A-levels.
