Road Construction Coming to Ogle County

Starting on Monday, October 7, road work will begin on Illinois 64 in Ogle County. The Illinois Department of Transportation's project will encompass a 4.5-mile work zone from the Illinois Railway crossing in Mount Morris to west of Illinois Street in Oregon and will mill, patch, and resurface the road.

There will be daily lane closures using flaggers, but access to homes and businesses will be maintained. Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie is urging residents to drive with caution and slowdown in and around the work zone.

The project is slated to be completed by the end of November.
