DENVER - Dec. 16, 2024 - Denver International Airport (DEN) celebrated the opening of Sunset Loop Bar & Grill and Starbucks on Concourse B-East today, the first restaurants to open in the new Concourse B-East expansion area.
"As DEN continues to grow, we continue to expand our dining and retail options to meet the needs of the 100 million annual passengers we anticipate welcoming in the coming years," DEN CEO Phil Washington said. "Our goal is to provide a world-class airport experience with a wide range of offerings that reflect Denver's unique culture and flavors. We're especially excited to introduce new dining spots like Sunset Loop Bar & Grill and Starbucks in our latest gate expansion areas, providing travelers with more diverse, high-quality food and beverage options that enhance their journey. This is just one of many steps we're taking to ensure DEN remains a vibrant, welcoming hub that offers something special for every traveler."
Sunset Loop Bar & Grill and Starbucks are both operated by OTG DEN Ventures, LLC. The addition of these two venues reflects OTG's commitment to offering innovative, convenient and high-quality dining experiences that enhance the travel experience.
"At OTG, we're committed to elevating the airport experience by bringing exceptional dining, popular brands and travel convenience concepts into major airport hubs," OTG Management CEO Jeff Yablun said. "We're excited to expand our footprint into Denver, offering a new level of service and dining to millions of passengers passing through DEN each year."
Sunset Loop Bar & Grill is named after the Sunset Loop trails, a series of hiking routes in White Ranch Park in Jefferson County. The restaurant's menu was crafted by renowned chef Daniel "Chef D" Young. Sunset Loop Bar & Grill offers a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere with sweeping views of the Rockies, making it the perfect place for travelers to unwind.
"This is a phenomenal day for DEN, and I am thrilled to be a part of it. It is truly a dream come true," Chef D said. "Denver has been my home for over four decades, and it's where I've had the honor to build restaurants, provide nutritional care for some of world's greatest athletes and witness firsthand the growth of Denver's incredible sustainable vendors. Now, I can bring my love for fresh, locally inspired food to the airport, and make a difference for my community and for thousands of travelers who use the concourse every day."
In addition to the restaurant, passengers will be able to enjoy Starbucks right next door. Travelers can experience a full range of handcrafted beverages, including seasonal favorites and classics to energize their journey. As the perfect pick-me-up, Starbucks is ready to serve up smiles and delicious brews for travelers on the go.
These new food and beverage outposts are operated by Doc 1 Solutions, LLC, a certified Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) Keith Montoya.
"The opening of these new dining experiences at DEN's Concourse B-East marks a significant milestone for our city and its travelers-both longtime Denverites and first-time visitors," ACDBE partner Keith Montoya said. "As someone who has dedicated much of my career to strengthening Denver's economic and cultural landscape, I'm thrilled to see how this new concourse expansion enhances our travel experience and our global reach. By featuring locally inspired dining concepts and partnering with distinguished brands, we're showcasing the innovative spirit and diverse flavors of the Mile High City, welcoming the world to a Denver that's ever-evolving and ready to impress."
