Dr. Nancy Larson, adjunct professor in Marquette University School of Dentistry, was elected a Board of Regents member for the American College of Dentists at the organization's annual meeting in New Orleans. Her appointment was effective Oct. 17.
Larson, a Marquette dental school graduate and current general practice dentist in Mequon, represents the ACD's Regency 5, which comprises Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. In addition to the ACD, Larson is a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association and Greater Milwaukee Dental Association. She replaces fellow Marquette School of Dentistry adjunct professor Dr. Thomas Raimann as the ACD regent.
The ACD was founded in 1920 to recognize dentists who have made significant contributions to the advancement of dentistry and oral health outcomes for the public we serve. Fellowship is by invitation and based on demonstrated leadership and contributions to the dental profession and society.
