Temporary Road Closures Planned for Clitheroe Bonfire Celebrations

Published: 11th October 2024

Motorists and residents are advised that there will be a series of road closures in Clitheroe during the town's annual bonfire.

The popular bonfire and fireworks display will take place at Clitheroe Castle on Saturday 2 November.

The event is expected to attract thousands of bonfire enthusiasts to the Clitheroe Castle Field.

The following road closures will be in place from 8pm to 10.30pm to ensure people are able to exit the field after the event and disperse safely:

  • Eshton Terrace, between Franklin Street and West View
  • Parson Lane, between Bawdlands and Station Road

The traffic order applies to all traffic, including pedestrians and cyclists.

There will be no alternative route during the traffic order. Access to properties in Eshton Terrace and Parson Lane, and side streets affected by the closures, will be maintained.
