SCDOT to hold a drop-in public meeting in Charleston County

​Columbia, S.C.(October 9, 2024) - SCDOT will hold a drop-in public meeting on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, regarding a proposed road safety assessment project on SC 642 (Dorchester Road) in Charleston County.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation proposesroad safety improvements to SC 642 (Dorchester Road), beginning just north of the intersection at Michaux Parkway, extending south toward Interstate 26, and ending just past Kent Avenue. Visit the project website for additional information.

The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday,October 23, 2024, at Jerry Zucker Middle School of Science located at 6401 Dorchester Rd., North Charleston, SC, 29418. The meeting was originally scheduled for September 26 but was postponed due to inclement weather.

SCDOT representatives will be available to discuss the proposed project with members of the community. There will be no formal presentation.
