Get Ready for Opening Weekend at the New Cedar Park Library

The City of Cedar Park is thrilled to announce the opening of the new Cedar Park Public Library on November 1 at 425 South Parkwest Drive, Cedar Park! As we prepare to welcome the community to this state-of-the-art facility, we have a few important reminders to ensure your experience is enjoyable and smooth.

If you plan to come this weekend, please be prepared for long lines and traffic congestion. Opening weekend coincides with the Farmers Market, which will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A new traffic light at Aster Street and Bell Blvd. has been activated to assist with traffic flow, and the Police Department and flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic on Friday and Saturday. Please be a good neighbor and avoid parking in nearby neighborhoods or adjacent business parking. Also, be on the lookout for mobile messaging boards along Bell Blvd.

As part of this exciting development, we are also introducing a comprehensive parking map to help visitors navigate the area easily.

The new Library, located in the heart of the Bell District, will feature ample parking spaces to accommodate the expected influx of visitors

  • The parking map provides clear directions to all available parking lots, street parking, and adjacent event parking in the vicinity.
  • To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend arriving early, especially during peak hours, as parking may be limited.

Free Shuttle Service Available During Opening Weekend

  • To avoid heavy traffic during the opening weekend, consider using our FREE shuttle service between the old library and the new on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
  • With more than 100 parking spaces available, the old library, located at 550 Discovery Boulevard, has ample space for additional parking and will be offering FREE shuttle services approximately every 30 minutes.
