Robbery – Arrest: C24-291673

On December 14, 2024 at approximately 7:55 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a convenience store in the 900 block of Lorette Avenue for the report of a robbery.

Attending West District General Patrol were advised that an adult male had robbed the store at knifepoint, and had fled on foot with stolen property valued at approximately $210. With the assistance of a customer who intervened, officers located the suspect at the intersection of Grant Avenue and Stafford Street and arrested him without incident. A knife was recovered by officers and seized as evidence.

Through their investigation, officers learned that the same suspect had attended a convenience store in the 700 block of Corydon at approximately 1:30 a.m. on the same date and also robbed it at knifepoint. In this incident, the suspect fled on foot with stolen property valued at approximately $220.

The 28-year-old female, 65-year-old and 25-year-old male employees working at the time of the incidents were uninjured.

Cullen SANDERS, 36, of Winnipeg is charged with two counts of Robbery and Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order.

SANDERS was detained in custody.
