January 2025 Special Events at Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park

SEMINOLE MAROON REMEMBRANCE

Sunday, January 19, 2025, 9 a.m. This event highlights the history of the Allied Seminoles and African American Seminole Maroons and their bravery during the Seminole Wars. The event features rituals/ceremonies, lectures, exhibitors, vendors and more. Presented by the Florida Black Historical Research Project, Inc. in cooperation with the Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists.

BATTLE OF THE LOXAHATCHEE REENACTMENT

Saturday, January 25, 2025, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Bring the family to Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park to experience a day of Florida history. There will be period-dressed reenactors, U.S. Army and Seminole camps, exhibitors, guest speakers, children's activities, battlefield tours, weapons demonstrations , and a battle reenactment. A food truck will also be at the event.
