The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in collaboration with the Association of Thai Securities Companies (ASCO), the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC), the Thai Digital Asset Operators Trade Association (TDO), and the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), organized Capital Market Cyber Exercise 2024, the 6th annual seminar for businesses in the capital market, with support from the Thailand Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF). This year, the event was organized under the theme, "Cyber Resilience: AI-Powered Readiness," leveraged Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovations to create scenarios and conduct training sessions focused on both technical and strategic responses to cyber threats. The program was divided into two stages: hands-on technical simulated training lab from September to October 2024, followed by process-based exercises on 7-8 November 2024, aiming at enhancing decision-making and coordination in response to modern cybersecurity threats.
Over 500 participants from 112 organizations, including securities companies, asset management companies, securities brokers, investment advisors, derivatives operators, crowdfunding platform providers, digital asset operators, and ICO portals, as well as representatives from TCM-CERT and the SEC, participated in the exercise. The event also welcomed representatives from the National Cybersecurity Agency, the Office of the Personal Data Protection Commission, and the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, who provided insights and monitored the exercise.
