CONCORD UNIVERSITY LANDS AMONG THE BEST IN U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT RANKINGS

ATHENS, WV - The U.S. News and World Report has announced rankings for colleges and universities nationally for 2025.

Among colleges and universities in West Virginia, here's how Concord University ranked:

• Best Regional Universities South - #2
• Top Public Schools - #2
• Top Performers in Social Mobility - #3
• Best Schools for Social Work - #2
• Best Online Master's in Education Programs - #1

The Best Colleges guide is designed to connect soon-to-be and recent high school graduates with traditional four-year baccalaureate programs in the U.S. There are plenty of reasons to attend a particular college or university, but students' top ones involve academic reputation, cost of attendance and return on investment, according to several different surveys. The 40th annual edition of Best Colleges took those priorities into account. Based on statistics, the top-ranked schools provided ample classroom resources for students and faculty; conferred bachelor's degrees at high rates; and produced graduates who entered the workforce with manageable debt and worthwhile starting salaries.
