The UF/IFAS Santa Rosa County Extension Service is hosting a Marketing & Cottage Foods Workshop on Tue., Oct. 8 from 8:30 - 11 a.m.at the UF/IFAS Extension Offices, 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton. Ginny Hinton, Family Consumer Sciences Agent, and Prudence Caskey, 4-H Agent, will teach participants about the Florida Cottage Foods Law and Limited Poultry and Egg Farm permitting.
The workshop is $25 and each registered attendee will go home with a candy thermometer and marketing supplies. Register for this workshop and other workshops in the AGRItunity Farming Series atonline.
This workshop is part of a series for beginning farmers and farmers who want to diversify their operations. Classes are offered on Tuesdays from 8:30 - 11 a.m. at the extension office. The cost ranges from $20-40 per class depending on the topic.
