Nightly Lane Closures on Southbound State Route 242 (SR 242) and South and Northbound Interstate 680 (I 680)

Concord / Contra Costa County ― Caltrans is scheduled to do repair road work on State Route 242 (SR-242) Southbound, and Interstate 680 (I-680) both South and Northbound.

Lane Status:

• State Route 242 (SR-242): Southbound one lane will remain open
• Interstate 680 (I-680): Northbound and Southbound various lanes will remain open

Schedule:

• October 14-17, 2024, (SR 242 SB) 9 PM - 5 AM
• October 14-17, 2024, (I-680 SB) 8 PM - 5 AM
• October 14-17, 2024, (I-680 NB) 10 PM - 7 AM

Details:
This road work will involve moving lane closures and temporary closures of various on and off-ramps along South and Northbound I-680 to keep workers and travelers safe.

Traffic Management:

• Portable Changeable Message Signs (PCMS) will be in place
• Detours will be provided
• Various lanes will be closed nightly

Safety Reminders:

• Drive with caution through the work zone
• Slow down for the Cone Zone
• Stay Work Zone alert
