Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 600 Mayford Street

October 14, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 600 Mayford Street about 10:20 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 13).

The identity of the deceased male, 45, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lafour and A. Hernandez reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Witnesses stated the victim and other individuals had been arguing prior to a suspect pulling out a gun and shooting the victim. The suspect fled the scene.
