ICANN Announces ICANN82 Fellowship Recipients

Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) announced the candidates selected to participate in the ICANN Fellowship Program at the ICANN82 Community Forum. The ICANN organization received 491 applications, of which 40 applicants from 32 countries were selected to participate in the 8-13 March 2025 meeting in Seattle, United States of America. The Fellows represent all sectors of society including civil society, government, country code top-level domain operations, academia, business, technical, security, and end-user groups.

The ICANN Fellowship Program focuses on individuals interested or already engaged in various aspects of ICANN's work, such as policy development, the operation of the Domain Name System, and ensuring the security and stability of the global Internet. The goal of the ICANN Fellowship Program is to strengthen the diversity of the multistakeholder model by creating opportunities for individuals from underserved and underrepresented communities to become active participants in the ICANN community.

If ICANN82 is held virtually, the Fellowship Program will also be held virtually.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address - a name or a number - into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
