Recycling Award Winners Announced

At the November 4 City Council meeting, Mayor Robin Oda announced the winner of the "Look Who Is Recycling" for the third quarter of 2024. Rumpke of Ohio, Inc., the city's curbside recycling contractor, runs the program as a tool to encourage residential recycling. Awards are given quarterly to City of Troy residents who actively recycle and share their reasons for doing so.

This quarter's winners are Sam and Taylor Deisher for Fleet Road, along with their three young children. For the question, "Why do you recycle?" Mr. Deisher wrote, "Sustainability is quickly becoming a priority for many large entities, and this has pushed my family to take the extra steps to ensure we discover our role, locally. Troy is a city that pays close attention to these types of goals and additionally creates magnificent outdoor spaces for the community to enjoy. Recycling is a great way to ensure we protect these environments and conserve our natural resources."
