SOS Grant and SEPD to host Drug Take Back on October 25

The Southeastern Oklahoma State University SOS Grant, in conjunction with the Southeastern Police Department, will host a Drug Take Back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, October 25.

The drop-off location will be behind Morrison Hall on the Loop, between 4th and 5th Streets. The drop off location will open to the general public, as well as faculty, staff, and students of Southeastern. The collection point will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs.

The DEA's National Drug Take Back Day is scheduled for this Saturday, but the SOS office also wanted to make sure an easily accessible point for the Southeastern community was available during regular operations.

For more than a decade, the national Drug Take Back event has helped Americans easily rid their homes of unneeded medications-those that are old, unwanted, or expired-that too often become a gateway to addiction.
