Empowering Change: City of Westland and Living & Learning Enrichment Center Join Forces for Individu

The City of Westland is proud to announce an innovative partnership with the Living & Learning Enrichment Center aimed at empowering individuals with disabilities. This collaborative effort is designed to create inclusive opportunities that enable individuals to thrive within their communities.

The partnership is one of the first municipalities that will focus on support services that promote independence, skill development, and social engagement for those with special needs. Together, both organizations aim to break down barriers and foster an environment where everyone can achieve their full potential.

"I am beyond thrilled that I was able to help bring this partnership to light with the Living & Learning Enrichment Center, a respected leader in our community for supporting individuals with disabilities," said Mayor Kevin Coleman "I know that this collaboration reflects our commitment to inclusivity and our desire to create a community where everyone, regardless of ability, can participate and prosper."

The Living & Learning Enrichment Center offers a variety of workshops and programs tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals with disabilities, including job training, life skills education, and recreational activities. Additionally, Westland will provide task driven work and facilitate access to city resources to enhance the program's reach.

"This partnership is a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities in Westland and our area, "said Melissa Sampey, Council President Pro-Tem. "As a special needs sister this is important and near and dear to my heart. However by working together, we can provide invaluable support and opportunities that empower individuals to live more fulfilling lives."
