Public Meeting and Plans Display for Bridge Replacement Project in Duncansville Borough, Blair County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is developing plans to replace the 13th Street Bridge over Gillans Run in Duncansville Borough, Blair County. For those interested in learning more about this project, a public plans display is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Duncansville Borough Municipal Building, 1146 Third Avenue, Duncansville, PA 16635.

The project involves replacement of the existing structure, guide rail and drainage improvements, and minor approach work. During construction traffic will follow a proposed detour that uses Sixth Avenue, 14th Street/Maple Hollow Road, U.S. Route 22, Leighty Lane and Hixton Road.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed projects. Representatives from PennDOT will be available to answer questions and receive comments regarding the projects. The comments of all individuals, groups or organizations are welcome. Anyone with knowledge of historic resources in these project areas should attend the meeting.

The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone having special needs or requiring special aid is asked to contact the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation prior to the meeting.
