EU places special focus on its strategic relations with Ethiopia - Ambassador-Designate, Sofie From-Emmesberger

European Union Ambassador-Designate, H. E. Sofie From-Emmesberger, held discussions with Ethiopia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Dr. Gedion Timothewos, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Designate Sofie From-Emmesberger, noted that the EU places special focus on its strategic relations with Ethiopia and commended GoE for historic economic reforms. These also present opportunities for the more than 180 EU companies in Ethiopia. She further highlighted that peace and stability are needed also for (further) private investments.

Ambassador-Designate Sophie From-Emmesberger appreciated the role of the National Dialogue Commission and encouraged all parties and regions to make full use of all the opportunities this platform provides for an inclusive and comprehensive dialogue among stakeholders in the country to foster sustainable peace and stability.
