Salve Regina ranked 27th overall among the best institutions of higher education in the United States in the Regional Universities (North) category, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Colleges survey. The survey also recognized Salve as a top performer on social mobility, ranking the University 54th, up from 79th in 2024. Other rankings included the list of best value schools and undergraduate nursing.

The annual Princeton Review Guide also again recognized Salve as one of the nation's best institutions for undergraduates. Only 15% of America's 2,600 four-year colleges are profiled in the book, The Best 390 Colleges: 2025.

The Princeton Review guide also included Salve among the "Best Northeast" and top "Green Colleges" in the nation. The University scored among the top 25 in several student life categories. Our No. 2 ranking for "College City Gets High Marks," and No. 11 spot for "Most Beautiful Campus" reflect our stunning seaside location. Achieving the No. 10 ranking for "Most Engaged in Community Service" is a testament to our students living the Salve mission of working for a world that is harmonious, just and merciful.

Niche ranked Salve as on one of the Best College Locations in America at No. 68 out of 1,512, and Business Insider included Salve in its list of the "Most Beautiful Colleges in Every State."

Salve was also once again included in this prominent list of the 500 "Best Colleges in the U.S." Based on a national survey of more than 100,000 undergraduates and recent alumni, the list ranks institutions by the value they provide to students. It looks at the learning environment, years to pay off the net price, degree completion rates, the likelihood of higher salaries post-graduation and diversity.
