Baton Rouge, LA - November 18, 2024 - The Baton Rouge community is invited to join the celebration of GIS Day on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Main Library located at 7711 Goodwood Blvd. This engaging event will feature vendors and presentations by local Geographic Information System (GIS) professionals, showcasing how mapping and location-based technology is transforming the world and shaping our future through data-driven insights.
GIS Day is a global event dedicated to spreading awareness about the real-world applications of GIS technology, which is used in everything from city planning to environmental conservation. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with experts in the field and learn about the latest innovations in GIS and to explore how geographic data impacts everyday life in Baton Rouge and beyond.
