John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) TSA Officer Brittany Brooks was assigned to assist me and my children; a 5- and 6-year-old through the TSA checkpoint.

Brooks called me early and introduced herself. She followed up as the time that I confirmed we would arrive, approached. Officer Brooks met us outside the gate (security area) and was extremely helpful in unloading the kids and getting us situated and prepared for the process.

She was warm, courteous, and friendly throughout the entire process, guiding myself and the children through the mayhem, while giving clear concise direction in advance of each step. It was impressive to see such a young person strike the right balance between professional and disarmingly jovial. Keeping us calm, while ensuring that we followed protocol! I felt safe and seen as a valued person.

I sometimes overhear the way some other team members condescend to passengers. Brittany provided excellent service! I am grateful for her.

I only wish that she would be with us for the return process.
