erra State Community College student Benjamin Weber has been named the College's Rotary Student of the Month for August.

Weber currently resides in Fremont. He graduated from Wadsworth High School in 2023, receiving the Excellence Roll and the Seal of Biliteracy. He was also involved in the National Honor Society and TRI-M Music Honors Society.

Weber reports that he chose Terra State because he wanted time to develop his baseball skills. He noted that Terra has allowed him to do this and has also made a big impact on other aspects of his life; he learned how to stand up for what he believes in and take pride in lifting up peers, become a responsible steward of spaces and time, and overcome adversity. Weber decided to major in interactive media, as he has always been drawn to art and enjoys using his creativity to design and create.

Outside of class, Weber is passionate about community volunteering. He has participated in baseball camps, rotary activities, and the soup kitchen.

His nominator, Head Baseball Coach Gregory Hedden, regards Weber as a community leader who continues to mature daily. "Ben leads our young men on and off the field. Most notably, he has encouraged many to join a local church organization."

After graduation, Weber hopes to play in the MLB; however, his fallback plan is to pursue a career in the Minor League Baseball Marketing Team.
