Welcome to the LBPD Blotter!

As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department's homepage and on the "News" tab of the Department's website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here's a recap of incidents occurring last night:

  • Traffic Fatality - 5300 Block of 2nd Street: On Sept. 24, 2024 at approximately 12:39 a.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of 2nd Street regarding a traffic collision involving an LBFD fire engine and a pedestrian. The preliminary investigation indicates LBFD personnel were responding to a call for service when their fire engine collided with a pedestrian. LBFD personnel determined the pedestrian deceased at the scene. Collision Investigation detectives responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing. A news release is forthcoming.

Great work officers! Last night, officers safely took two guns off the streets.

  • On Sept. 23, 2024 at approximately 9:22 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near Spring Street and Webster Avenue. During their investigation, officers recovered two firearms. Both suspects were arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
