Thousands Gather to Give Thanks

Good food and community togetherness was on the menu for this year's Gratefull GVL event on November 25 on the Main Street bridge. More than 58 sponsors and 40 local restaurants donated funds and food to feed guests during this free public gathering. The atmosphere was full of joy and togetherness, with strangers striking up conversations and laughter filling the air all while musician Loretta Halloway performed a song on stage. No one was excluded from the festivities, as attendees enjoyed a variety of Thanksgiving foods including gluten-free and vegan options.

The event returned for first time since 2019, aiming to create opportunity and share a good meal while supporting a good cause. Surplus funds from sponsors will go to benefit Mill Village Ministries' FoodShare, a program that provides food to families in need throughout the year.

Gratefull GVL provided an opportunity for everyone in the Greenville community to have a seat at the table in this season of giving.
