On September 28, 2024, State Police arrested Ronald F. Yerdon, 43, of Petersburg, NY, for Criminal Contempt in the First degree, Menacing in the second degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree.

On October 1, 2024, Yerdon was again arrested for Criminal Contempt in the first degree, Criminal Trespass in the second degree, and Criminal Contempt in the second degree.

On September 28, 2024, at about 5:00 p.m., Troopers responded to a home in Berlin, NY, for the reports of a disturbance involving a knife. The investigation determined Yerdon was in a disagreement with two victims. During the argument, Yerdon allegedly brandished and threatened the victims with a knife. This incident occurred while an active court issued stay away order of protection was in place against Yerden, protecting the victims involved. No one was injured.

Yerden was arrested at the scene and transported to SP Sand Lake for processing. He was arraigned at the Berlin Town Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash or a $200,000 partially secured bond.

On October 1, 2024, at about 7:19 a.m. Troopers responded to the same Berlin, NY home for the reports that Yerdon had returned to the location unwanted and uninvited. The investigation determined after being released from the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility the previous day, Yerdon allegedly returned to and entered the home during the early morning hours without permission, waking the victim. Yerdon was escorted off the property by the victim without further incident. The stay-away order of protection was still in place at this time.

Troopers located and arrested Yerdon in Berlin, NY. He was transported to SP Sand Lake for processing. He was arraigned at the North Greenbush Town Court, where he was remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash, $20,000 bond, or a $20,000 partially secured bond.
