Appeal for information following Sydney CBD protest - Operation Shelter

Investigators from Operation Shelter have released images of a woman they believe can assist with the ongoing investigation into a public order incident in Sydney last Sunday.

Operation Shelter was established in October 2023, to ensure community safety in response to protest activity.

About 12.00pm on Sunday 29 September 2024, police attended a protest in the Sydney Central Business District.

As investigations continue, police have released images of a woman who might be able to assist with inquiries into the display of prohibited symbols at the public order incident.

The woman is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of medium build, with long brown hair, wearing all black clothing and black sunglasses.

As investigations under Operation Shelter continue, anyone who can identify the woman depicted or provide information that may assist is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
