Rep. Nancy Mace Votes to Authorize Fiscal Year 2025 NDAA

(Washington, D.C. - Rep. Nancy Mace (SC-01) voted to authorize the fiscal year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to support our servicemembers and their families after securing a number of major wins for South Carolina and the Lowcountry.


"The NDAA 2025 delivers big wins for South Carolina, including robust provisions to support our military families and secure critical defense priorities. This bill includes a well-deserved pay raise for our troops and expanded joint military exercises with Israel, strengthening our national security and global alliances. We also ensured taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, cutting wasteful spending and focusing on what matters most: keeping Americans safe. We made sure South Carolina's voice is loud and clear in this legislation, delivering real results for our state and putting the Lowcountry First."

The following Lowcountry priorities were included in the final version of the NDAA:

  • $31,500,000 authorization to build a Fuel Pier at MCAS Beaufort

  • $72,050,000 authorization for an Ambulatory Care Clinic at Parris Island

  • Extension of the $122,600,000 authorization to build an Aircraft Maintenance Hangar at MCAS Beaufort

  • $33,000,000 authorization for an aeromedical evacuation facility at Joint Base Charleston

  • Extension of the $15,000,000 authorization for National Guard Readiness Center at Joint Base Charleston
  • The legislation also includes a record 14.5% pay raise for junior service members and improved housing for military families.
