Makway signs with UAA Hockey

Anchorage, Alaska - UAA head hockey coach Matt Shasby announced that Judah Makway has signed a scholarship agreement with the program.

Makway, a 6-foot-3 center, has played for his hometown team, the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL, since 2022. He has appeared in 115 games for the Smoke Eaters, scoring 19 goals and 28 assists for 47 points. The 2024-25 season has been the most productive for Makway in the Orange and Black, as he has recorded 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) in 28 games, tied for the most on the team. Makway, who is serving as team captain, has five multi-point games this season, including a four-assist game against the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Dec. 6 and a three-point game (two goals, one assist) against the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Dec. 14.

Alaska Anchorage will play at Dartmouth on Dec. 28.
