Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev calls on all compatriots in the United States to vote in upcoming election on 27 October

I will do my best for the election to be fair and transparent. Vote! The call was made by Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev when he met the Bulgarian community in Los Angeles. The Prime Minister called on compatriots to cast their ballot on 27 October and emphasized how important it is for Bulgaria to have a regular government. Dimitar Glavchev specifically pointed out the proposals that the caretaker government made to the Central Election Commission to further strengthen the voters' confidence in the machine voting.

You have achieved incredibly a lot in the most competitive environment in the world, in the United States. I am sure that you have made all your achievements with Bulgaria seated in your hearts, Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said further. In the presence of members of the Bulgarian community in Los Angeles, the Prime Minister decorated the Bulgarian actress Irina Maleeva with the Ivan Vazov Medal. Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev highlighted the importance of Bulgarian Sunday schools and their tireless educational activity that instills respect and love for Bulgaria in the younger generations and inculcates pride and a feeling of identity despite the thousands of miles between such people and the land of origin.

Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev officially opened the new office of the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Los Angeles. It is more spacious than the previous one and indicates the wish of the government to support the development of a stronger, united and active Bulgarian community on the West Coast of the USA, the Prime Minister pointed out. The new office will continue to host various events that will diversify the cultural life of Bulgarians in the region, make them better recognizable and help them in their further integration into the cultural diversity of this dynamic, influential and extremely important part of the USA and of the world.

Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev noted that the Bulgarian government would continue to support the development of close relations between the Bulgarian and American people and to encourage the Bulgarian community's many initiatives. Bulgaria and the United States are strategic partners whose relations are built on friendship and shared values. The further development of bilateral political, cultural and economic relations is fundamental to the stability and prosperity of both countries and of the world as a whole.
