Fulton County…
Weekend Lane Closures on SR 70/Fulton Industrial Blvd for Resurfacing
Expect Traffic Delays
ATLANTA METRO- Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install lane closures this weekend to continue a resurfacing project on State Route 70/Fulton Industrial Boulevard (SR 70) between SR 139/Martin Luther King Jr Drive SW and SR 8/D L Hollowell Parkway in Fulton County. This project is designed to improve the roadway's deteriorating condition with milling, inlay and asphalt resurfacing.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, crews will close one lane on Fulton Industrial Boulevard within the project limits from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11 until 6 a.m. on Saturday. Flaggers will be on-site to assist in guiding traffic through the closures.
These lane closures help ensure safety for workers and drivers through the area as crews milling and inlay the roadway in preparation for resurfacing the deteriorating roadway. This $2 M project is scheduled for completion in spring 2025.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during the project work hours. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
